  • Mark Ruffalo has suggested fans are unlikely to see another Incredible Hulk movie. However, he has tempered this news by dropping hints that The Avengers is more than likely to spawn a sequel or two.

He told Total Film, “There will probably be a couple more Avengers movies, which would be fun to do. I don’t know if they will ever do another Hulk. How old is The Hulk meant to be? Six years from now I will be in my 50s.”

Ruffalo has taken on the role of Bruce Banner/Hulk from Edward Norton, who starred in 2008’s reboot The Incredible Hulk. Last year, The Incredible Hulk’s director Louis Leterrier said that an appearance by the Hulk in The Avengers would ruin the future of the Hulk’s franchise.

Talking to the same publication, Letterier said, “In the world where Avengers exist, the ‘Hulk’ sequel wouldn’t make sense. Because if Hulk wreaks havoc, the Avengers would come and stop Hulk.”

The Avengers is due for release on May 4th, 2012. (Source)
