News about ‘The Normal Heart’ and ‘Cogan’s Trade’

Ruffalo has chatted with MTV News about some rumours regarding his involvement with Andrew Dominik-directed “Cogan’s Trade”, the Brad Pitt-starring crime caper about a high stakes poker game gone wrong.

“That’s not true. I don’t know why that’s [been reported]. That’s not happening. They’re already shooting that. It’s almost done, actually.”

He’s also working in a new project: “The Normal Heart,” an adaptation of Larry Kramer’s semi-autobiographical stage play about the rise of HIV-AIDS in New York City in the 1980s. Last June he had signed on for the project alongside “Glee” mastermind Ryan Murphy, but things look a bit more tentative now.

“I don’t know if that’s going to happen this year. That’s kind of been put on the backburner,” he said, adding that he’s heard nothing but rave reviews for the ongoing Broadway revival of the stage play.
